Group Chief Medical Officer and Head of Clinical Innovation, nib Group
Dr Mellissa Naidoo joined nib in 2020 as Group Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Head of Clinical Innovation.
As CMO, Dr Naidoo’s role focuses on clinical governance, health service commissioning, health strategy and clinical innovation, clinician engagement, health literacy and wellness promotion, and population health initiatives and value co-creation.
With over 15 years’ experience in clinical and medical leadership roles across both the public and private hospital sectors she has previously worked with Ramsay Healthcare, Queensland Health and UnitingCare Health.
Passionate about innovation in healthcare and systems improvement to support person-centred care and health promotion, prevention and wellbeing, Dr Naidoo is a certified health informatician and clinical reference lead for the Australian Digital Health Agency.
An experienced board director and Dr Naidoo currently serves on several medical professional and health committees. She is actively involved in training the next generation of medical leaders and an Associate Professor with the University of Queensland and Bond University Medical Schools.
